Side Hustlers played our first show at a house party in Destrehan, Louisiana.
The Side Hustlers, for that date called The Unbelievables, played a big yard party in Destrehan. It went great, crowd liked it. People danced. Somebody let a cute little girl take the tip jar around, adorable; but then we had to sing "Happy Birthday" to the little tyke (Andrew started it). She had on a yellow party dress, so she looked like a little daffodil, somersaulting around the grass. It was possibly the least rock and roll moment of my life. We got swarmed by Formosan termites as the sun went down but it only lasted a song or two.
